Jennifer Elliott DVM

Veterinarian

Jennifer Elliott is a 2015 graduate of Colorado State University- College of Veterinary Medicine; she received her Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State in 2008. She enjoys working in small and large animal medicine with a special interest in bovine reproduction and small animal surgery.

She grew up in Minnesota where, she was an avid gymnast and horseback rider. Along with her husband Ty and their dog Boone, they currently reside in Peetz, Colorado working on their family farm and ranch. She enjoys helping manage their Red Angus herd, running equipment during harvest, being outdoors, and playing with her kids: son Waylon, and daughter Nora.

McKenzie Steger DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Steger grew up on a farming and cow-calf operation near Chappell and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Iowa State Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine in 2015 (emphasis in Food Animal Medicine). Upon graduation, she commissioned into the United States Army and was assigned to the 438th Medical Detachment-Veterinary Service Support in Fort Carson, CO. She deployed to Afghanistan in 2017 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and upon her return, served as the Command Veterinarian for 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) at Fort Bragg, NC. Most recently, Major Steger was the Bavaria Branch Chief for Veterinary Readiness Activity-Rheinland Pfalz at Tower Barracks, Germany where she completed her Master’s degree in Public Health. She has experience in canine performance medicine, small animal primary care, combat trauma management, translational medicine, and many aspects of veterinary preventive medicine and public health. She transitioned out of active duty service this Spring and is excited to return home and join the team at Creekside Animal Hospital. She looks forward to working with local farmers, ranchers and pet owners. She enjoys continuously improving her commercial Angus cow-calf herd, all things outdoors and her beloved Springer Spaniel Monte.

Jodi Howitt

Receptionist

My name is Jodi Howitt. I grew up on a farm/ranch in Northeast Colorado. During my younger years I was involved in 4-H and that cultivated my love of animals big and small. I am looking forward to meeting you and your fur babies.

Our emotional support cat Frito is pictured with me. He is ready to give love and support to all our clients and patients alike.

I grew up in Oshkosh Ne. I was involved in 4-H, showing rabbits and pigs. While attending HS I joined FFA and I was voted to hold the office of Historian. I joined Creekside because of my love of animals and to further my education.

I’m Leigha Wachtel. I was born and raised in Nebraska and was involved in 4-H and FFA, along with job shadowing Dr. Elliott in high school. I am currently studying Ag Business at the U of Wyo and enjoy spending time outdoors. I look forward to summers at Creekside to help my favorite furry friends.

My name is Samara. I recently moved to CO from Southern Ohio. Growing up my whole family was involved in the quarter horse industry. I love veterinary medicine and have over 18 years experience. When I am not at work I am usually at a rodeo, Longhorn show supporting my daughter and her love for cattle, or spending time with my family.

My name is Wendy. I recently moved to the Sidney area from Cheyenne. I have 20+ years of experience in the veterinary field. I am still very passionate about it. I have a special interest in dentistry. When not working I enjoy spending time with my family and pets.

Hi, my name is Cheyenne.  I am 22 years old.  I’m from Northern California , near Sacramento.  I have raised pigs and lambs under my local FFA chapter for my county fair.   Animals have been a passion of mine since I was 7 and being able to work in clinics has given me the chance to grow that love and passion.  I love to be outside and explore new places.  I’m excited to be able to help animals both big and small.
